About sixwords

Welcome to sixwords.

Each Monday I will (try to) post six words. Play with them as you like for the next six days. You have until Saturday. Email your submissions or questions to 6words@andfam.net

Rules: You must use all six words. Write a poem, or a short story, or a letter to your mom, an essay, whatever you'd like. Something fun or clever, it doesn't have to be deep or meaningful. It doesn't have to be good - just have fun with it. Enter more than once if you'd like -- at least for now. Give it a title if you'd like.

Keep it clean. The editor reserves the right to reject any entries, or request that they be changed, if she feels they are inappropriate for a clean, moral site. The editor also reserves the right to add rules as she sees fit.

Anonymous - If you would like your post to be anonymous, in the spirit of allowing people to guess who wrote it, please indicate that in your submission ... anonymous may not be used for mean or rude things. The editor reserves the right to not post inappropriate anonymous submissions. The editor will assume you want to be named unless you say otherwise.

Word Use: Use the actual words, no substituting frigid for chilly. Words with multiple meaning can be used whichever way you like. For example: The wind blows hard, she winds the clock are both allowed. Verb forms may be changed. Adjectives can be changed into their adverbial form. Homophones are not allowed, you can't use chili if the word was chilly. Well, you can, but chilly better be in there, too.

Entries remain the property of the submitter and may not be used, reused, or reposted without the author's written permission.
