this shelf is one of my "problem spaces" or "hot spots" as the fly lady calls them. The cord, tape, and hammer are from yesterday's garage work. The boxes in the plastic bag are Christmas lights. There are also nice baskets I bought to organize/decorate with but haven't made a home for, yet ...
living room
the shelf above the toy cupboards is another hot-spot for us. You see here some books and toys not put away properly. And little sputnik on the right :-)

I'm not sure if I took an immediately after picture. This is the before, in all its, um, glory.

this is the after, but not the immediately after. What you see here is a few days worth - a week, I guess - of stuff starting to creep back on the very top and on the pull out shelf.
