Not drinking enough water?

Not getting enough sleep?

You've also stopped eating chocolate and other "contaminates". Maybe you're suffering withdrawals from that.

So many possibilities.

Wait...no chocolate either??? Have you gone mad? Is there no joy to be had for you??? How can you resist the smooth, fudgy temptation???? Chocolate has GOOD things too....it is chock full of antioxidants and it releases chemicals that make you feel like you are in love! That can especially be helpful when your kids are giving you those headaches.

On the other hand, that means there is more for me.

Never mind! Continue on and feel free to pass any unwanted chocolate my way....

I didn't realize that you are caffeine-free (LOL, that makes you sound like some sort of diet soft drink). Good for you!

I get headaches (usually migraines but not always) every 26-28 days at the end of my period; my dr. suggested that if I take Ibuprofen for cramps, that I should keep taking it through my period, and that drinking lots of water would help as well. He says that you get a 'rebound' headache sometimes after quitting Ibuprofen, and that the monthly hormones are another 'trigger' for headaches/migraines.

Other triggers for me are bright light, flickering light, lack of sleep, inconsistent sleep, too much or too little tea (caffiene in coffee doesn't affect me, but I think tea does), and poor eating (too many salts/sweets.)

I could easily believe that switching to vegan would throw your system off and make you more supceptible to headaches... ;o/ I've got one now, recovering from the flu. Must...have...more...tea...

Feel around the soft tissues on your neck. Could be you have a kinked muscle. Changed pillows lately? Started wearing your hair differently? Moved the computer screen to a different place on the desk? Sitting in a new chair?

Could be allergies, too, if the headache centers above the eyebrows.
